A Photographer's Hard Lesson

Did something extremely silly a couple of nights ago.... I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED SOME PHOTOS WHICH I DIDN'T TRANSFER OUT FROM MY SD CARD!!!!

*Sigh*.... I had meant to back up my photos after each session but I put it off.

Call it procrastination and this is certainly a very hard lesson to swallow.

Some of those lovely photos of Oslo will never come back - especially when I took a picture of a parade of Norwegians dressed up in 16th century gear commemorating the founding of the city by a Danish prince....

*sigh*...

I had been lazy. So, this is the punishment I got. Time to be a better organized photographer/traveler.

Disappointed

I'm feeling a wee bit disappointed today.

I had expected to enjoy a pretty nice afternoon at 1Utama but things didn't turn out as I had planned...

It's Going To Be Alright!

My hiatus from this blog was mainly due to work. That's not a big surprise actually.

Not that I hate my work, I actually enjoyed it a lot.

I Missed an Entire Month!!

IMG_8674

Yes.. I didn't blog for an entire month.

A whole stash of photos from February to March are still waiting for me to process...

I was a little lazy but also was caught up with some stuff at work which for some reason now, doesn't really need my attention anymore. So, will have to realign my priorities. One of it is to get back to taking care of me and spending more time with my camera. ;-)

Another is to think about getting all my certifications done.

Anyway, will share more in the coming posts. One of it was the major disappointment I encountered on last Friday which had me going for some minor retail therapy over the weekend...

Torturous Days Ahead

My blog has been very quiet lately as I've been busy with a couple of things...
  • Work
  • More Work
The best part is... There has been talk about moving the project up by a three months last week but as of today, what has been just "talk" will become reality, making the project delivery to be completed by January 2010.

What does that mean?

More work...

More stress...

More teamwork... (yeah, right..)

Less appreciation... (for the person who does the most work..)

Thank you...

Been Sick...

My blog has been a bit quiet lately.... I know.

I've been sick for the past few days. Also, been busy with work, hence; being sick and working my @ss off for work.

Even if I do tell the PMs that I'm not feeling well, they will still bombard me with work. *sigh*... Not only that, they will still call me. I don't turn off my phone as I still receive important calls from other folks.

Today, there was a directive from HR to all staff that should you have flu-like symptoms, please do not come into the office or client's site and seek medical treatment ASAP.

I think even if I do both, I'll be expected to continue working. Yes, my PMs are THAT sadistic.

One of my colleagues who just went to have a medical check-up because he felt some chest discomfort was told off by the PM that it was NORMAL and that he didn't have anything to fear. In fact, the doctor did tell him something and he's taking some action to take care of his cholesterol levels to prevent heart problems later in life.

Aiii....

Anyway, do be patient. I've got loads of photos to upload and stuff to blog about for the past 2-3 weeks.

Stay tuned...

347th Post - 28th July 2009

Nothing spectacular reaching my 347th post.

Anyway, I hate it when my birthday happens to fall in the middle of the week. It makes it very odd for me to take the day off to enjoy myself.

With work/project being so stressful due to human/inhumane factors, I find it hard to enjoy myself this year.

I just found some very interesting photos on my mobile phone which I've not posted before.. I think. Kekeke... It brings back memories of when I used to have a desk and phone in the office - a place to call my own. At least back then, I had a proper place to sit to work. Unlike now, me being the turtle/nomad, camping around the office.

Oh well.. 347th post.. Another load of crap... LOL!!

Have I Run Out Of Things to Say?

I had thought a bit about my next post.

I have some photos to put up... Yes, it's mainly about food as this time round, I had gone out with my friends for a good makan to celebrate someone's thirt####### birthday. Kekeke...

Not that I ran out of things to say.

Just that I need to find time to write it. LOL!!

After today's meeting, I realized that from the spreadsheet of documents to deliver, I have quite a number on my plate. Eep!

Not only that, after this morning's meeting with the vendor; I realized that although my team members said that they have 3-4yrs working experience, the questions they posed really showed that they did not do their homework. Arrrgghhh... That means, more filtering work for me. *sigh*

I've already told them to eat, sleep, breathe and sh*t the technical proposal as that would be part of our job. Looks like the message didn't get through yet. *sob*

Aside from that, after this afternoon's project management meeting, they seem quite confused between phase deliverables and project closure deliverables. Hmmm... Not only that, they have NEVER estimated their work before, as they asked me how to put in start and end dates in the plan.

When I did see the dates, I noticed that they planned to start the work in July.... when the work should begin tomorrow... When I asked why, they thought that the side-task was what they need to concentrate on this week.......... In fact, the side-task was already mentioned to be a side-task where we will use around 10-20hours per week and it is on-going...

Looks like I have a lot of work ahead. I have to treat these folks as "freshies" and train them up to speed or else... I may have to vomit out all the documents by myself....

Another thing I have to do is to see what motivates them and bring that out. Besides that, I think I need to bring my old naggy self back to nag and lecture these folks too. :P

Otherwise, they are pretty ok; just that being new, I believe they are afraid to step up to the plate... which is not good, in the organization where I'm at.

So, in a sense, my next post.. should be less ranty and err... more colourful with some photos too. (^.^)

I Just Hate The FUD

It's the 4th day into my job and I suspect that I'm down with a slight cold. Got the sore throat, runny nose and general bodyache/weakness. I'll have to see if I can get that colostrum to build up my immunity. But meanwhile, it's plenty of fluids and some Vit C for me.

Anyway, was at the office for 2 days to go through some induction and to pick up my laptop before heading off to the customer site.

As usual, at the customer site, they only provide temporary seating; a.k.a hot-desking or "hotel-ing". I expected this as I'm involved in a project. If you're in the support line or dedicated development teams; it is common to have a permanent seat with a phone line so that you are contactable.

The project is starting to pick up as the requirements phase is underway which means I'll most likely be attending to a lot of meetings.

Now, why I hate the FUD or Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt.

Fear - Being assigned to some tasks which is a little unfamiliar and so, there is this fear of failure. This may stem from the fact that I set very high expectations of myself. I'm no overachiever but I would like to do my job well. So, the fear of failure is real.

Uncertainty - I'm still new to the organization. There are some stuff which I'm not sure about such as, in the event of me being sick, how do I go about to see the doctor and etc. I'm also wondering if I can work from home. Besides that, I have a fuzzy picture of the project and so, there are some uncertain stuff to sort out.

Doubt - Because of the Fear and Uncertainty, I begin to doubt if I had made the right choice. This is common as once you leave an organization, you can't help but compare your new place with your old one. Even if the previous place was bad, being out of the comfort zone; you will still make some comparison.

I just hate it when the FUD sets in. I'm working on getting over it and am trying to immerse myself in my job to get rid of it. Its just that working for so long, you would think that it would get easier, no?

Will Be Busy

The CNY mood is all around me.

However, I feel the exact opposite of the current mood.

If you must know, I'm currently rushing something out for a really fussy client who has changed his mind so many times as the number of grains of rice in a bowl. I'm really fed up. This client suffers from amnesia and short-term memory loss. He forgets what he has told us 24 hours ago. He takes down no notes but offer to remember it all by heart.

That is no way to convey your requirements to your vendor.

We are at his mercy.

Besides that, he's not Chinese nor is he Malaysian and hence, does not know about the Chinese New Year festivities. Thus, he does not give a damn about our holidays.

Anyway, I'll be busy for the next few days. Hopefully, I can celebrate what is left of CNY. I will most likely attend to the reunion dinner, visit 1 relative's place and then, head back home to work.

I know. It sucks.

But then, what to do? In this economic climate, would you dare to go say "FU" to the client back? ;-)

I just hope that the company can get some $$$ out of this piece of sh*t project.

BTW, 恭喜发财!!!!

Which Is More Irritating... A Boss Who Never Listens or A Boss Who Always Talks?

I just got a very misleading e-mail from my boss.

My e-mail had just asked one item - "Are you available for this meeting?"

His answer was "Please include bla bla in the conc (conference) call"...

(-_____-)

What the heck?? A meeting may not necessarily mean a conference call.

Besides that, the attached e-mails clearly stated a request for people to ATTEND a meeting AT A CLIENT'S OFFICE.

Now, IF I wanted to inform him about a conference call, I would have worded my e-mail differently, like so,

"Are you available to join in this conference call?"

I don't like to confuse people. Some call me long-winded but I will NEVER confuse people. A meeting and a conference call are two different items, i.e. apples vs oranges.

Now, this is not the first time that such a thing has happened. There were clearly times when he asked me to clarify a situation and once I got to the office and started to explain. He just interrupted and made his assumptions; proceeded to take action without considering the consequences.

He never gave me any chance to speak up and clearly explain things.

And after that, he will ask me, "Why did this happen?". I can't simply tell him, "It's your fault dumb@$$...", right?

So, which is more irritating. A boss who never listens or a boss who can't stop talking?

He clearly has violated one of the most important rule of being a leader - TO LISTEN RATHER THAN TO BE HEARD.

Clearly, if someone does not take the time to listen to you, he is not showing you any respect.

Massive Jams Because of Merdeka Rehearsal??

Wow...

For the last couple of days, I've been stunned as to see how congested our "arterial" road system is in KL. Due to a road closure of Jalan Raja, the entire city was nearly brought to a standstill with jams stretching back to as far as PJ via Federal Highway, KL-Seremban Highway and Damansara/Subang via Sprint and NKVE.. =____=""

Massive jam @ Jln Duta after Duta Toll

So, you can imagine, how tulan I felt.

As usual, during the massive jam, you'll see people at their best or worst.

For example, when you hear the siren of an ambulance far away, people automatically move aside to let the ambulance through. Now, we're not sure if it's a real emergency or not, but best to move aside - it's only the right thing to do.

The worst side of people. Rich (I assume that they're rich because they drive big cars such as Merc, BMW, Harrier, Rexton, Storm...) people squeezing in between lanes WITHOUT INDICATING THEIR DIRECTION in front of smaller cars - Protons (exclude Perdana), Kancils, Kelisas, MyVIs, etc... Mind you, whether if the big car was driven by a drebar or some fella in a suit or tie, underneath that exterior is just a lowlife samseng. Hmmmm.. Come to think of it, maybe they are real-life samseng too.. Kekeke.. You'll never know.

I got bullied by such a fxxker driving a black Honda City license plate WQK 6488. That fxxker had the nerve to drive up and just cut in front of me, out of nowhere at Jalan Parliment heading towards KL. I refuse, because he could have easily cut in BEHIND me. The fxxker lowered his window and shouted to indicate that he wanted to cut into the other lane leading to Jln Mahameru/Jln Duta.

I didn't wind down my window.

I let him pass.

The fxxker cut in front of a Citilink truck and proceeded to inch his fxxking car towards the junction to turn off to Jln Duta/Mahameru highway.

What a fxxker.

He was wearing a blue-shirt and yellow tie. He hung a black jacket on a hook at the back. I assume he was fxxking late for some fxxking meeting.

So what.

Everyone is stuck in the fxxking jam.

Everyone is late.

You wait for fxxking turn.

I just want to let you know that the driver of this car - WQK 6488 likes to bully people. Especially women.

It'll be the same tomorrow. So, better to wake up earlier and get to work early before the police close the roads.

*Sigh*...

I'm Expecting a Big Dividen from Petronas This Year...

I'm not joking when I decided to use that remark as my blog entry today.

This is because of the remarkable contribution by everyone tonight to get your tanks all filled up with petrol before the big deadline at midnight to get petrol at soon-to-be yesterday's price.

Let's join in the Petrol-Fill Up Fiesta!!!

How long did it take for you to get home today?

It roughly took me about 3 hours; although I did take a 30-minute breather at one of my favourite mamak stalls to rest my bad knee. I've got to ice, elevate and put a bandage to compress the knee now or else, I may not be able to walk for the next couple of days. :-(

After what I thought were shortcuts to get to the NPE (New-Pantai-Expressway) from Bangsar turned out to be free trips to the longest parking lot on a two-lane road in Old Town PJ. What normally took about 10-15minutes for me to get to the NPE turned out to be a very "comfortable" 2-hour wait in my car.

Boy, for 3 hours, I would have been able to watch LOTR in my car... If I had a DVD Player available then.

I was so bored in my car that I decided to take some photos. After all, I was stuck in the same spot for about 30 minutes...

I really pity some of the folks who really needed to fill up their empty tanks. Because they had to fight with the other folks who filled up their tanks so that they can escape the price increase. Some cars literally stalled on the roads because they just ran out. I saw a couple of folks carrying the petrol cans from the station to their car. There were a number of cars who got a free ride on the tow truck because the car just died without the much needed "blood".

Hmmm... Hope my colleague was able to fill up her tank before she went home.

We really had a triple whammy on the roads today.

1. Heavy rains which caused massive flash flooding in PJ (did SMART divert all the flood to PJ instead of the alloted containment areas?? LOL... Just kidding... We know how fantastic the PJ drainage system is.... *roll eyes*)

2. Heavy rains started at 4pm and didn't quite let up until 6pm...

3. Petrol price increase "rumour" which caused massive jams on EVERY ROAD LEADING TO A PETROL STATION.

So.... What comes next?

We'll start to complain, protest about the price increase again.

Traders will start to increase price of goods and services because the price of petrol has cut into their profit margin and has increased their operating costs.

The government will preach advise us to change our lifestyle - go for public transportation, travel less and perhaps be self-sufficient.

I love this video...

What a JOKE!!!

I know I'm a little outdated with my news...

Frankly, with all the sh*te going on, I've decided to stay away from the newspapers and concentrate on other things.

Yeap, work has really gotten to me as I juggle around a few projects while trying to figure out who best to assist me in certain tasks. Needless to say, it is time to start delegating some responsibilities out to free myself to do other things.

LOL!! Gosh... I sound so much like a manager now. Hahaha.. In truth, I'm not even there yet!!! Heheehe.. Classic case of "you have the job, but not the title". Now, that is a topic for another day.

So, I checked out the news paper heading for April 10th, since it's the birth of my good friend's 1st child, he is really "lucky" to get such a high profile headline... SHOOTOUT AT KLIA.

Wow.

First thing which came to my mine... Errrr.. "What happened?"

Second was "Did they get the gunmen?"

The answer to both questions.... 1) Robbery, 2) No.

Now, the shocking thing is.... KLIA is equipped with CCTV but IT WAS NOT TURNED ON!!!!

Much like the traffic light cameras which were put up for show, our CCTV cameras at the KLIA were just for show only. Like in Chinese, it's just 摆样子 (for show only). Please do correct me if my Mandarin is wrong... (^ ^)

This is a complete f*ck up - Pardon my language...

I had hope that in a post 9/11 world, security around airports would have been tightened. However, as usual, Malaysians easily become complacent and our "tidak-apa" attitude really got us caught with our pants down. Literally. One of the police's pistol was snatched by the gunmen and he was shot. I hate to say this but have you seen some of our policemen lately? Some of them look like they need a session at Fat Camp to get rid of the excess tyres around their waist.

Oh well, if this thing can happen at our airport, I dread to fear what I would encounter at the building where I work everyday.

Every time I have to get in and out of the building, I have to pass through the security checkpoint. Each time I place my bags and other personal belongings to be scanned by the X-ray machine, I often observe what the security does. They barely observe what is being shown on the screen. Some of them are SMSing. Another is chatting away with another colleague. The third colleague helps someone with their bag once it passes through the X-ray machine.

If the metal detector does beep, often, they try to stop the person to check but if it's the lunch time crowd, often, the offender can rush off before the security can stop him.

Isn't the machines put up there for show??? It's just to reassure foreigners who work in this building that we take security seriously and you would be safe here.

However, judging from some recent e-mails circulating around the offices, it isn't so.

My colleague was approached by some Chinese-speaking foreigners, who tried to con her out of money. This happened at the lobby, quite near the security checkpoint. No security was around and they pretty much didn't bother that this was going around.

Do I feel safe?

Frankly, I felt safer at another building where a lot of foreigners frequented because the guards took their job seriously. The guards often questioned people who wished to drop/pick people up at the front entrance and very quickly clamped any car (big or small) which park indiscriminately. These guards were foreigners hired from Nepal and each morning, I would see them assemble in military fashion to be inspected by the head guard.

Such irony. We have to rely on foreigners for our security needs.

Do you feel safe?

Short Hiatus

Hi all,

Just wanted to put in an entry to state that I'll be taking a short hiatus for the next couple of weeks in order to sort things out at work.

It has been very hectic here with all the new work and team members coming in. I have yet to determine how best to get assistance to run things but for now, it's just me doing all the coordination and technical work. (-.-)

I've been extremely busy and of late, I've been sleeping in the wee hours of the morning trying to catch up with a lot of stuff. Hopefully, it'll get better and I'm positive that it will. (^^)

Anyway, hope to come back during the X'mas week to put in some updates. Meanwhile, take care everyone!

I'll try to stay afloat above water. (^^)

Weekend Has Begun??

My Friday post is missing.... Hee Hee... Because I haven't had the time to write anything yet!!

Anyway, to many people, the weekend officially begins on Friday, after their office hour (i.e. 5:00pm, 5:30pm or 6:00pm...)

However, for me, my weekend this week officially begins when I reach home at about 8 or 9pm. (-__-)

Why?

I'm farking B U S Y...

Aside from the fact that I have to kow tow to my customer who is asking a lot of things from me, some of which is to deliver something next to IMPOSSIBLE (???), I have to setup a few slides for a training session on Monday.

The training session is OK, but that customer is just killing me. Anyway, I'll just "tahan" (persevere) until everything is over. I'm not looking forward to Monday. *sigh*

Isn't it strange that on a Saturday morning (it's 12:33am now) and I'm already starting to feel the Monday Blues???

Besides this, I'm also nursing my old injuries again. My knees are hurting again due to a pretty heavy workout a few days back. That sucks. It's back to the ice, compress and rest routine again. (-__-)

Well, looking at the bright side.; at least the server will be down during the weekend and I can't access my mail. Yay!! (But I'm only delaying the inevitable.....)

Hope your weekend turns out better than mine.

** Back to ye olde grinde stone.... **

Never Be Afraid To Say What You Feel

Source: Courtesy of VKSoong

I got this picture from my friend during the waning hours of the work day - you know, the time between 4 and 6pm.

After a quick laugh, this picture got me thinking.

Do you have the guts to say what you really feel? Especially towards someone whom you think is supposedly larger, taller, stronger, more senior than you, when you are being put down or bullied?

Do you want to always live in fear, not able to express how you really feel?

I remember the words of Sir Winston Churchill, the Prime Minister of Britain during WWII and after. He said,
Courage is rightly esteemed the first of human qualities... because it is the quality which guarantees all others.
How very true....

Friday.. But I'm Not In That "Friday" Mood

This will be a two-part post. This is because I've not completely figured out what I want to write about... In fact, I've not figured out the topic at all. Anyway, I hope by the end of the 2nd post, it would be much clearer.

Well, it has been a pretty busy time for me for the last 2-3 weeks due to some new changes at work.

No.... It's not something drastic but it has to do with the ability to embrace and accept change.

Change is not always easy. There is an amount of adjustment one makes to the new change. And the ability to adjust to that change is probably determined by our personality and flexibility. Besides that, it takes an inner strength to embrace change.

Change is also part of life. Everything changes. From the time we were born, we are always changing/evolving. So, we can't say that there is no change in life. It is always there.

Anyway, for the last couple of weeks, I've been battling/adjusting to change at work. I do not want to elaborate too much but all I can say is that there is a void now, and I'm part of the few people asked to fill that void. The void is not a simple one, as it involves some new leadership.

There is some sadness in this change and hence, my mood today.

All I can say is that I am coping with it, learning to adjust to it as I go along. :-)

Hope you folks have a good weekend! I'll try to update more when I have the time. :-P

I Want To Rant, Can or Not???

I've been having a "brilliant" time at home today...

First of all, my ISP has been pretty slow in connecting to Google and hence, I couldn't grab my mails or rant on my blog. WTF

Second, all the plans I wanted to execute today just went bust.

I have been planning to clear my leave for a while and so, thought of taking today off to do a few things.

However, once my parents heard that I was on leave, they quickly decided to dump Snoopy on me and ran out the door. They didn't come back until after lunch. By that time, I had to rush to get ready for my gym training session.

**SIIGGGGHHHHH**

So, now I can't go and get that fleece jacket from Nike which I wanted and also, I can't cut my freakin' hair.

I swear, every time my mom asks me to go cut my hair, I'll just glare at her, keep silent and walk away. -_____-"

Why?

Because whenever they hear that I'm not going out or have leave, they just dump Snoopy on me and just run off!!!

I missed 1 free car service because I couldn't find the time to service my car until it was past the 10,000km mark. Yep, I missed my 5,000km mark. And my parents told me that I had to service my car because the performance was getting bad.

Again, the glare, silence and just walking away. -______-"

** SIIIIIIGGGGGHHHHHHHHH **

Now, I'm no means being disrespectful and ungrateful but sometimes, when you lay down the best plans, it just goes out the freakin' window.

Hope you folks have a better weekend than I will..

You Had 4 Days Rest...

2 minutes to go before Monday officially ends. Aren't we glad that we can finally put Monday behind us?

Well... I woke up to slightly stiff knees this morning and contemplated working from home... again. Sure, I thought about going off to work but the thought of driving through the long journey (even in my automatic car) for about 2hrs (to-and-fro), just about turned me off.

I've been battling my knees (sprained/swollen ligament) knees for nearly a month now. At first, I tried the knee support. It did help but there were good an bad days. With the knee guard, I drove off to work, also elevated my feet (alternate if for a day since I don't have stools or cushions to support) while working. So, for about 1/2 a day, I felt relief on one leg, while the other had some pain. I was supposed to get ice packs, where I'm sitting was too far away from the pantry to put my ice-pack. Hence, I did not do the ice treatment during the day.

I thought about taking LRT but recalled that I still have to do a lot of walking, worse still, I probably have to stand all the way along the whole 45-minute journey to/from work.

So, after about 1.5 weeks, I went to the physiotherapist to get some relief. I endured the pain for the rest of the working week until Saturday when I had my time off to go see her. After the session, I got some relief but I still could not walk down the stairs without wincing in pain. It was then that I found out that my knee ligaments were swollen as the physio felt some lumps at the inside-facing part of my knees. *Sigh*

The good thing was that my physio taught me some good knee exercises and I did it religiously. So much so that I hope that my knee and thighs are getting a workout despite me not going to the gym for a while.

This was when I did the mistake.

I went back and decided to apply heat therapy and there were times it worked, there were times it didn't. Whenever it did work, I felt relief from pain and also my knees were not stiff. For the last 2 weeks, I was still driving to work. I tried to avoid as much walking as possible but when you're at the office, you have no choice. You can't just ask your colleague to go get water and stuff for you. They're busy with work. Anyway, I should take care of myself.

Snoopy's "injured" as well..

Nope. I wasn't looking for any pity. I walked as much as I could, even when it was painful, I still kept cheerful.

So, right up until last Thursday, I went to work. I walked slower than any other person's grandma, drove slower than the 10-tonne lorry because my knee was in pain, and suffered the itchy side effects of having eczema because I was wearing the tubi-grip full-time. I decided to just work from home.

I was in pain. No painkillers for me. Don't want to rely on medicines too much.

I discussed insurance options with HR and found out that I still had to go back to the panel doctor for a recommendation letter. I hate panel doctors, especially the one nearby as the doctor didn't seem to care about the patients, only about how much he can earn from them. He drives a fxxking gold-coloured, 2-seater, Mercedes SLK. Go figure.

Anyway, I was rushing some stuff out and had to keep my @ss at home. So, despite the pain. I churned out something which hopefully satisfied the customer.

Finally, while my parents was at the pharmacist asking about something, they told him about my predicament. He prescribed some anti-inflammatory medication and gel for my leg. It worked.

Woo hoo... By Saturday, I could walk almost normally. Went out for a bit of lunch but dare not drive. Felt bad asking my Mom to drive me around when it should be the other way around. After that little outing, I was grounded for the rest of the weekend, just to rest my legs/knees.

Come Monday, I didn't want to risk going through the cycle of rest/stress on my knees again. I informed my team lead that I would like to work from home. He said that if it still hurts, I should go and see the doctor. He said something to the effect of "no", that the company frowns on the policy of working from home. He said that besides I had 4 days of rest.

WTF....

I went off to do some stuff and came back to tell him that I would be taking EL (Emergency Leave).

He said that he would let it slide this time.

*Sigh*

I stood my ground. If he had wanted to let it slide, he should have suggested it before I put up the suggestion of taking EL. I told him, it's ok, I'll just take the EL and went offline. I was supposed to be "resting".

Out of this whole entire thing, I've learned a few things:

1. I have small knees - hence the reason why I'm at the gym, working my @ss off despite a tiring day so that I lose weight.
2. Heat therapy worsens sprains. One should use cold packs always - apply for 15-20 minutes every 2-3hrs.
3. You know how well your company treats you when you get sick.
4. You know how well your boss feels about the team when you get sick.
5. You learn about your bosses' "principles" when you have problems such as these, i.e. do you have a boss who will fight for you or would rather advise you to not cause any trouble?
6. You learn how it feels like to be a person who is suffering leg problems or don't have legs at all.
7. If you have to wear a tubi-grip and you're an eczema sufferer, be prepared to tackle the eczema problem as well.
