What I enjoy during the weekend, besides the pleasure of waking up an hour later, is scoffing down a delicious breakfast/brunch.
Some weeks back I accompanied EV to brunch at Dome. She had the desire of trying out the breakfast menu ever since we dropped by the place for coffee one day.
EV: Hash brown! Hash brown! Hash brown!
Me: Ok.. Ok... You don't have to get so excited about it...
EV: What will you have?
Me: I'm thinking of having some fruit with pancakes.
EV: But I want to have fruit and pancakes... AND HASH BROWN too!!
*sigh*... As usual, she couldn't decide on what to eat. We ended up ordering both pancakes AND a large English breakfast.
English breakfast at Dome has everything except the blood sausage. Somehow, it is proper but just doesn't have that oomph without the blood sausage. Other than that, since Dome is a halal establishment, the bacon is made from beef and the sausages from chicken.
I did enjoy the scrambled eggs. I requested for no salt and it came perfectly light and fluffy - just the way I love it.
The pancakes we ordered was a short stack with ricotta cheese and fruits drizzled with some maple syrup. It was a bit sweet for my taste but the sourness of the raspberries and blueberries balanced the flavours out. The pancakes were soft and fluffy too.
Diet is certainly out the window when you're served such sumptuous breakfast at Dome. By the time we finished our breakfast, it had already turned to lunch time...
